Toxins are present everywhere around us, whether it’s in the air we breathe, the water we drink, or the food we eat. Even your favorite smartphone is a dirty farm, filled with enough bacteria to make you seriously ill. Daily toxins build up in our bodies, and if it reaches a critical point, you could become seriously ill.
To help you realize that it might be time to detox, Creative Side has compiled a list of symptoms that indicate an overload of toxins in your body. To learn how to detox, read the section at the end.
Signs of a toxic body
1. You suffer from constipation
When we eat food, we also inadvertently consume many of the chemicals that come with it, such as preservatives, artificial colors and flavors. The intestines responsible for digestion must also deal with the collapse of these toxins. This accumulation of toxins may cause stomach upset and constipation.
Eating organic food, limiting alcohol consumption, and drinking plenty of water should help solve the problem.
2. You have brain fog
If you feel dizzy, confused, and unable to focus even in the morning after a good night’s sleep, it’s possible that harmful toxins are playing tricks on you.
These toxins cause a series of reactions that deplete essential vitamins and minerals that the body needs to function. It’s similar to what happens when you put bad oil in your car.
3. Deodorants don’t help and you still feel stinky
You showered in the morning, applied deodorant, and on the subway, people crinkle their noses at you. You guessed it: toxins could make you stench!
These toxins, when digested, produce gases and odors that, escaping through the pores of the body, can emit an odor that can rival the foulest fart you’ve ever experienced.
4. Sore joints and muscles are wearing you down.
If you haven’t pushed yourself in the gym or done physically strenuous work, but still have pain in your muscles and joints, it could be caused by a buildup of toxins.
Body aches and pains are indicators that you may have uncontrolled inflammation in your body; so if you have no other reason for the inflammation, try detoxifying.
5. New spots appear on your skin
The skin is the largest organ in the body and is often exposed to pollution. Also, the products like shampoos, conditioners, soaps and lotions that we use can contain harmful chemicals. Exposure to so many toxic chemicals can cause symptoms like acne, rashes, and eczema.
6. Falling asleep is getting harder
On the one hand, the accumulation of toxins makes you feel exhausted, and on the other hand, making things worse can ruin your sleep.
High amounts of toxins in the body can cause the level of the hormone cortisol, which controls sleep, to deteriorate and negatively affect sleep.
Insomnia can lead to serious health problems; so if you find that falling asleep is becoming more difficult, consider doing a detox.
7. Your breath smells bad even to you
Bad breath is often a symptom of digestive problems. This occurs when your digestive system has to work harder to digest everything you eat.
But digestive problems can also occur when the liver struggles to remove all the accumulated toxins. Getting rid of toxins is the only way to deal with this problem.
8. You are losing your hair faster
Hair loss is not a symptom of toxic overload caused by everyday toxins. It can be the work of more sinister toxins, such as arsenic, lead, and thallium (found in cigarette smoke), among others, which can even be deadly. So don’t take hair loss lightly and consult your doctor.
