Andrew Tingle: What do you do?
Mason: I'm a student in the Design & Management program at Parsons the New School for Design in NYC.
Andrew Tingle: Where are you from?
Mason: Tyler, Texas
Andrew Tingle: Describe your style.
Mason: My style is broken into two distinct looks, one for day, the other for night. By day I am the 19th century English pauper with southern flare and little boy hair. By night, it's Plague Doctor meets Raven meets Audrey Hepburn; "chic freak" as Gazelle would say.
Andrew Tingle: When did you start painting your face?
Mason: February 2006 for the Heatherette after-party at Happy Valley... oh the memories.
Andrew Tingle: What are your influences?
Mason: Definitely taxidermied animals, Diana Rigg, Klaus Nomi, Frank Stella, Katharine Hepburn (yes, another Hepburn), and Jayne Mansfield.
Andrew Tingle: What is your impression of NYC right now?
Mason: I'm moving to Berlin.
